Default Chapters add what now?

Ok what is going to be added in the next chapter? Classes, races, weapons, skills, what types do you think will be added? Looking at the current classes, it seems that all the standard mmorpg niches are filled, so what is coming next?

(Hopefully I can get an official say in this, or a link)

Don't you think that you're a bit too early?

The first chapter hasn't even been released yet..

From what ANet has told the community each new Chapter will add a lot of new content. So much, they have said, that the amount of new content with each expansion will be comparable in size with what we get with the original release. As for what the new chapters will contain ANet has more or less been silent about the issue. Some people have made attempts to design new possible professions, and the topic of new races has been the subject of many heated discussions on other foums, but right now it's just all speculation.

New skills and missions, and maybe more.

Ok, here's a question: New chapters add new content. New content implies more disk space. Disk space is finite.

Will the chapter disks have a "Run off of CD" option? Or should I buy that 500 gig drive now? ^_^

considering how the patching system works and how often things will likely get updated, changed, etc., i really doubt that you will ever get a "run off of cd" option. if you run out of disk space, you can choose to not buy the expansion..
or just go ahead and get that new hdd

dont forget that much of the terrain content on your drive can be used in different places in different ways

you can get by with x number of trees rocks and put them in different patterns for a whole new look

also many games coming out ask for more than a gig and sometimes much more

with todays and yesterdays drives who worries about a extra gig or 2 or 5?

I read this and two drops of pee came out. We still don't fully know the extent of what is coming out on release, but the possibility that the expansions are as big makes me giggle.

I say just keep the good stuff coming. I think, though a non-humanoid race would be really cool. Maybe........... I'll leave that to those that know what is feasible in teh game world.

You assume that everyone has the extra money to afford such thing ... my 20 gig drive is much to worry about.

not to be insensitive to peoples budgets (mine is tight) most pcs that will run GW have at least 20-40 gig drives

also for the people who are working with limited space there will probably be a choice on instalation of
full
medium
basic
installs which means running the map from the cd rather than the hard drive
as well as a hard drive file of new/updated content not on the cd

but they do have minimum specs for hd of 500 mb

I was under the impression that the official release install was the exact same as what we have now. Correct me if I'm wrong, I dont remember an option for any type of installation on the pre-order cd.

they said somewhere, that the cd for the release will have some of the content on it, now whether you can play directly off of that or have to load it all to your harddrive i dont know... but its supposed to help some of the 56k'ers by not having to download EVERYTHING when the game comes out

i have well over 500 MB on my hard drive at the moment and i have not strayed too far from askalon

others have reported 800 MB+

when the game comes out every bit that has to have been downloaded and is sitting on my disc will be on the installation cds as well as the content not available on the BWE

it is up to an to decide the installs but i see no diference between having it on my hard drive or the cd except for convenience (and speed)

possibly some of that 500 MB min requirement will act as a swap file for the cd content

we will find out when we get it

I think I started an argument without meaning to... Yes, hard drives are a LOT cheaper than they used to be, I was just mildly concerned about conservation of space on the drive I got, is all.

I believe new chapters will include Doughnuts, for the following reasons:

1. Doughnuts are Awesome, and GW is Awesome, so they go together naturally.
2. Doughnuts come in all sorts of verieties, just as there are many varieties of charecters in GW.
3. Currently, you cant eat anything in game, and If you were to eat something, doughnuts are the first thing that would come to mind.
4. Deep fried sugar battered bread gives me Energy +1.
5. Doughnuts only cost about $.50 a peice, and if you convert that to Gold, you can get like 500 for one gold peice, so they are quite the bargain.

Or... There would be new Areas/Spells/Missions/Charecters

Actually since that one NPC keeps asking for pudding I think we'll get that before donuts.
